Troop 45 Families:
The Troop’s Spaghetti Dinner is only about a month away and Maureen Jandrisevits and I have once again volunteered to organize the silent auction fundraiser for that evening. We are hoping that every family in the troop will donate “something” for the Chinese auction or an item to be bid on. We will be soliciting local restaurants and businesses for auction items too.
But this is your chance to rid your house of some unwanted items! We are looking for items that are new or can be re-gifted to support Troop 45. Other ideas for auction items are home baked goods, art work, camping gear, hand crafted items, gift baskets, movie tickets, and gift cards. Please let me know if you have an item that you are willing to donate. I would like to receive all items by the troop meeting on March 9. If you would like to participate but have nothing to donate, we are also taking $10 donations to make a purchase from the scout shop for items to be used in the auction. All donated items will receive a tax letter that can be included as a deduction with your 2011 taxes.
We appreciate your participation in this fun event and the members of Troop 45 appreciate your support!

Come help us celebrate Troop 45’s Winter Court of Honor, recognizing our Scouts’ achievements for Rank Advancements and Merit Badges earned since the fall. Parents, grandparents, friends and families are all invited and encouraged to attend.
– a Pot Luck dish to share (casseroles, crock-pots, main dishes, salads – pasta or greens).
– your own place settings (plates, utensils, and cups).
The Troop will provide punch, coffee and tea. You are also welcome to bring your own beverages.
Please contact Eileen Vierling if you have any questions ( email@example.com, 373-0428 ).
Troop 45 will again this year be represented at the 10:45 service at the Shenendehowa United Methodist Church. Scouts will serve as ushers, greeters and acolytes. We will also be sponsoring the coffee hour preceding the 10:45 service.
For Scouts participating, please arrive in full Class A uniform by 9:30 to assist with the coffee hour and church service. Please take this opportunity to show our thanks to our sponsoring organization and support our Troop.
Just a reminder:
Per the troop handbook, we do not hold troop meetings when school is closed.
Have a safe evening.
